Introduction
After a decade at the legendary Three Chimneys, where he bagged a Michelin star, Chef Michael Smith left to open his own restaurant in 2017 with his wife Laurence, on the Waternish Peninsula. In the picturesque, Thomas Telford-designed whitewashed fishing village of Stein, this cosy six-table restaurant on the waterfront now has a star of its own. The five-course seafood tasting menu features dishes such as a twice-dived Sconser scallops with fennel, citrus and seaweed and buttered prawns landed off the jetty nearby by Loch Bay Shellfish.
