Dunvegan Bakery and Coffee Shop is a small white cottage bakery in Dunvegan, in the north-west of Skye, and the sign on its wall claims it as Skye's oldest bakery; it is said to date back to around 1870.

It still bakes in the old-school way, with a counter of generous, gooey cakes: apple turnovers, sugary doughnuts, iced slices in lemon and blackcurrant, and loaves to take away, among them a corn bread well worth picking up for later.
The coffee shop serves good coffee to go with them, oat milk lattes included, and it makes an easy stop on a day in the north-west of the island, before a walk or on the long road home. It is a small village bakery rather than a restaurant, and the cakes are the point; take a loaf with you when you go.
The bakery is in the village of Dunvegan, in the north-west of Skye.
