Waystone Books

Waystone Books sits quietly at the heart of Dunvegan, offering a place to slow down, gather, read, and spend time. Run by Katy Lawrence and Caroline Bruns, it was created as a space for connection in a rural setting, where conversation starts easily over a shared read or a cup of speciality coffee from Cairngorm Coffee Roasters. Shelves lean towards contemporary fiction from independent presses, alongside indie magazines, stationery, and a small selection of locally made curated gifts. Weekly clubs and regular events give the shop a clear role in the village, from creative writing to knit and stitch, as well as one off author talks and music sessions, with the doors open year round.
