Family-run electric bike hire from a croft at Kilmuir, with three routes round the north of Trotternish.
Skye EBikes is a family-run electric bike hire on a traditional croft at Kilmuir, in the north-west of Trotternish, and a gentle way to see the far north of Skye under your own steam, with a little help.
The bikes are modern pedal-assisted hybrids, with puncture-resistant tyres, mirrors and gel saddle covers, and batteries enough for a long day.
The family suggests three routes from the croft: the Trotternish Explorer, deep into the National Scenic Area; the North Coast Storr route, following the coast towards the Old Man of Storr; and the Kilmuir Heritage route, a quieter loop by back roads past the area's historic sites. Bikes are collected from the croft in the morning, with sessions at half past nine and a quarter past ten, and every rider must be fourteen or older. Book online ahead of your visit.
