Tour O The Borders takes place each September on the quiet roads of the Scottish Borders, starting and finishing in Peebles. Riders choose either the Full 120‑kilometre route or a shorter 88 km challenge, both taking in dramatic landscapes from the Devil’s Beeftub to Grey Mare’s Tail waterfall. Closed roads mean no traffic to distract from steep climbs like Talla and sweeping descents into glens. Feed stations offer local treats, timing chips track every ride and support crews ride alongside. The village buzz builds from the registration day before. Riders gather at muster points before dawn, then thread out into mist or morning light.
