Threipmuir Reservoir
Introduction
A large reservoir serving Edinburgh and its surrounding suburbs, the Threipmuir Reservoir sits at the bottom of the Pentland Hills, near the town of Balerno. Designed by James Jardine in the 1840s, the reservoir is overlooked by Bavelaw Castle, a Category A listed historic house.
