Mountain Momo
A plant-based Nepali restaurant on Dundee Terrace, at the west end of Fountainbridge, serving momos, dal bhat and thalis.
Mountain Momo cooks plant-based Nepali food on Dundee Terrace, at the west end of Fountainbridge, in a permanent home after a run of pop-ups and residencies around the city.
The momos are the heart of it: soft dumplings filled with soya and vegetables, some of them pan-fried, served with chutney. Around them come dal bhat, cheese and onion paratha, curries, wraps and a Nepali thali of rice and dal with little dishes of vegetables and pickles, which makes a very good lunch. There's chai to drink, made with oat milk, and slices of cake to finish. The room is relaxed and roomy, with plenty of tables. It's open every day except Tuesday, from noon until eight, or nine from Friday to Sunday, and tables can be booked by phone. Children are welcome, and it's a short walk from the Union Canal and Harrison Park.

Open every day but Tuesday, from noon until eight, or nine from Friday to Sunday.
