Jeannie's Bakery
A small bakery on Morrison Street near Haymarket, opened in February 2026 by the baker behind Pie Dolly, with pies, sausage rolls, buns, scones and coffee.
Jeannie's Bakery is a little yellow-fronted bakery on Morrison Street, near Haymarket, and a lovely stop for something fresh from the oven on your way into town.
It opened in February 2026 as the first shop of Kelsey Garthwaite, who sold her pies at the Stockbridge and Leith markets as Pie Dolly for ten years and it's named after her friend Jean. The counter is laid out with pies and sausage rolls, cinnamon buns with a buttermilk and vanilla glaze, blueberry and cardamom buns, muffins and savoury scones, and there's good coffee to go with them. Pick up something for a picnic in Princes Street Gardens or a walk along the Water of Leith. Jeannie's opens at 8am from Tuesday to Friday and at 9am on Saturday, and closes at half past two. It's closed on Sundays and Mondays, so come early for the best choice.

Open Tuesday to Saturday, from 8am (9am on Saturday) until 2.30pm; closed on Sundays and Mondays.
