Harlaw and Thriepmuir Reservoirs
Introduction
A relatively easy, short circular walk allows you to leave the hubbub of the city behind and enjoy the tranquil waters of these two reservoirs and surrounding woodland.
Taking around an hour to complete, the paths are well set out and marked, although it can get boggy in places. However, there are parts that are sheltered thus making it the perfect stroll if the weather is not so good. Catch the No. 44 bus from Edinburgh to Balerno and enjoy the peaks of the Pentlands in the distance.
