Run by Sara Hill, a costume maker with 17 years’ experience across television, film and stage, this course builds practical dressmaking skills. Participants should already be confident using a sewing machine. Across six evenings, students work on their own garment projects while learning techniques in sewing, fitting and pattern cutting. The Sewing Table studio provides sewing machines, while students bring fabric, patterns and a basic sewing kit. With a background in productions such as Outlander, Sara makes professional methods accessible in a relaxed Borders setting.
