Castle of Light runs on select evenings through winter, with a timed-entry trail that leads visitors around Edinburgh Castle after dark. Projections, light sculptures and sound bring new stories to the architecture, including mythical creatures, historical figures and moments from Scotland’s past. Each year the theme changes. Most people take around an hour to follow the route. A relaxed-access evening is available, with BSL interpretation, reduced capacity and sensory support. The experience is fully outdoors, with some steep ground and uneven surfaces. Entry is through the main gate, with slots available every fifteen minutes from early evening to nightfall.
