Isle of Skye
Stonechat Bothy
Introduction
On the Sleat Peninsula, Stonechat Bothy sits in a quiet pocket of Skye where weather, light and open views do much of the talking. This is a place for two: small enough to feel intimate, generous enough for unhurried days spent indoors when the forecast turns. From the windows, the croft draws the eye outward; inside, the stove, kitchen and living space make staying put feel like part of the holiday.
Summer brings evenings outside by the fire pit, blankets pulled close as the light lingers late. In colder months, the bothy becomes a warm place to return to after time spent on the island’s roads, shorelines and hill paths. There is room to cook, read, watch the weather pass and let plans loosen.
The croft setting gives the stay its character, but the focus is simple: privacy, comfort and time in one place. Stonechat Bothy suits couples who want Skye without rushing through it, with enough seclusion to feel removed and enough warmth to make longer, slower stays feel natural.

Arrival days are typically Monday or Friday, with check-in from late afternoon. Wi-Fi is available throughout, and there is private parking beside the bothy.
What's nearby
Stonechat Bothy sits within croft land in Drumfearn on the Sleat peninsula, in the south of the Isle of Skye. The setting looks across the Sound of Sleat towards the mainland mountains, with walking routes beginning at the door. Broadford is around fifteen minutes away for shops, fuel and everyday supplies, and Armadale, with its ferry link to Mallaig and the gardens of Armadale Castle, is about twenty minutes south. From here, the rest of Skye is within reach for day trips, from the Cuillin to the northern cliffs, though many guests find Sleat itself provides more than enough.
