The Misty Bottle Shop
A bottle shop in Breakish's old post office, with Skye gin, Scottish whisky, organic wine and fresh beer on tap.
The Misty Bottle is an independent bottle shop in the old post office at Breakish, on the road between the Skye Bridge and Broadford, and you can hardly miss it: a white cottage with a bright orange tin roof, a red phone box outside painted with its name, and an old green van parked by the door.
It belongs to Isle of Skye Distillers, who make Misty Isle gin.
Inside, the wood-lined shop is packed floor to ceiling. There is gin, the local distillery's own and the best of the area, Scottish whisky, including rare old bottlings, organic wine, and fresh beer on tap from breweries all over Scotland, sold in the shop's own 1.9-litre growlers. There are whisky and gin tastings, and gifts from Skye, Raasay and round about. The shop has its own dram, Isle Wait, its 'dram for the meantime' while it lays down a single malt of its own. Orders can be posted from the shop or delivered locally. It opens from 10am to 6pm.

Scotland, in print.
We want to show you the best that Scotland has to offer. The makers and the creatives, the enduring experiences, the evocative tales, the concealed corners. The roads less travelled that take you to places that matter. The adventures that gather you up and sweep you away. The blend of the wild and the artistic that makes Scotland what it is. We’d love for you to join us.
What we have written about it, the collections it is in and more in Broadford and Surrounds.
