The Coffee Bothy

A café at Harrapool on the edge of Broadford, with good coffee, home baking and light lunches, and a spaniel called Jynx.

Welcome

The Coffee Bothy is a small café at Harrapool, on the eastern edge of Broadford, in the building that used to be New Creelers.

It opened in March 2022 and quickly became a favourite of locals and visitors alike, busy from the start.

It serves coffee, light lunches and home-made cakes, to eat in or take away, and it does a good brunch: waffles or pancakes piled with banana and strawberries and plenty of maple syrup, with yoghurt, fruit compote or bacon to add, or something savoury if you prefer. On a cold day there is a stove burning inside. Keep an eye out for Jynx, the café's spaniel, who looks after public relations. It is on the right as you leave Broadford for the Skye Bridge, opposite Deli Gasta and signposted, with parking at the front and more at the side, none of it far from the door. It makes a good first stop on the island, or a last one on the way home over the bridge.
