Glenhurich Lodge
Introduction
Hidden within one of the few remaining Celtic Rainforests in the UK, Glenhurich Lodge sits by the shores of Loch Shiel in the remote West Highlands — a place of rare natural beauty, ancient woodland, and remarkable stillness.
The lodge itself is a restored 18th-century hunting lodge offering six bedrooms, generous living spaces, and loch side setting. Recently remodelled with care taken to preserve its original character, it is today a much-loved family home that can feel, at times, like a place time forgot.
Spread across two wings, the lodge offers ample space for large groups to gather or find quiet moments apart. A central kitchen and large lounge with a wood-burning fire form the heart of the house, encouraging long, sociable meals and easy evenings together. The six bedrooms, spread across both wings, ensure everyone has their own space to retreat to.
Outside, the landscape does the rest. The setting lends itself to hill walking, wildlife spotting, cycling, kayaking, and quiet days by the loch. Whether gathering with extended family or holidaying with friends, Glenhurich is a wonderful place to reconnect with the great outdoors and with one another.
