Introduction

The West Highland Line crosses over the Glenfinnan Viaduct, one of the most iconic symbols of Scotland. Standing over Loch Shiel, the viaduct was first opened in 1901 and is still used by contemporary trains. Featured on several Bank of Scotland notes, the viaduct has featured in several Harry Potter films and The Crown.
