Curlew Cottage is a white, single-storey cottage for five in the glen on the Kingairloch Estate, on the Morvern side of Loch Linnhe near Ardgour.

The mountains rise straight up behind it, and from the kitchen sink you look out across the fields to the sea. Inside, the living room, dining area and kitchen are one open space, with a wood-burning stove on a red-tiled hearth for the evenings and oil central heating for the rest. It sleeps five, in a king-size room with its own bathroom, a twin and a single. Outside there's a small fenced lawn and plenty of parking. Red deer, wild goats and eagles all live on the estate, so keep the binoculars by the door, and up to two dogs are welcome.

There's a wood-burning stove and oil central heating, a kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine, tall fridge freezer, electric oven, hob and microwave, and Wi-Fi, a TV with a DVD player, linen and towels all provided.

Where it is

Curlew Cottage is in the glen on the Kingairloch Estate, on the Morvern side of Loch Linnhe, reached by a single-track road that runs along the edge of the loch.

Strontian is the nearest village, about 13 miles or 30 minutes away, with a post office, fuel and a shop, and Fort William is 25 miles, an hour to an hour and a half including the Corran Ferry.
