Introduction

Pier Cottage sits on the edge of Loch Linnhe within Kingairloch Estate, a working coastal Highland estate on the west coast of Lochaber. Designed for two, the cottage has a kingsize bed, en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, oil-fired radiators and a lochside position where pine martens, otters and red deer are part of the wider setting. The kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave and tall 50/50 fridge freezer, with linen, towels, complimentary WiFi and a TV in the lounge provided. Up to two pets are welcome, and parking is available nearby. Guests should note that there is a fish farm base next door, with very minimal estate traffic. Beyond the cottage, Kingairloch adds walking routes, cycling tracks, fishing with a guest permit, seasonal produce from the Walled Garden and broad access to the Morvern Peninsula.

Location

Pier Cottage is part of Kingairloch Estate, near Ardgour and Fort William on the west coast of Lochaber. It sits beside Loch Linnhe in a quiet estate setting, with coastal views, Highland farmland, wooded ground and hill routes close by. The estate is reached by the Kingairloch road, with Morvern, Ardgour and Lochaline all within reach by car.

Good to know

Pier Cottage has a Saturday changeover. A 50% deposit is taken, with the remaining balance due 28 days before the stay. The cottage sits in a lochside location with a fish farm base next door, though estate traffic is listed as very minimal. Up to two pets are welcome.

What's nearby

Kingairloch Estate has 7km of circular tracks for walking and mountain biking, with routes open to guests year-round. Fishing is available with a free guest permit from the Estate Office, and the Finnish BBQ hut can be hired. The Walled Garden offers seasonal fruit and vegetables, subject to availability, while local days out can include Strontian, Lochaline, Ardnamurchan, Mull, Fort William and Glencoe.
