Woodlands Glencoe
For two, with one bedroom, a hot tub, a sauna and room for the dog.
RiverBeds are the original lodges at Woodlands Glencoe: twelve wee cabins for two dotted along the riverside in the forest, each with a private veranda over the water and its own Jacuzzi hot tub.
They're only 12 square metres, yet the aim was a castle inside a cabin, with a bedroom, kitchenette and wet room all in one, a Simba mattress, Egyptian cotton and a round window onto the trees. There's a Nespresso machine and warm wooden floors. Breakfast can be brought to the door each morning, and there's a wilderness sauna on site. Dogs are welcome.
Our aim was to create a castle inside a cabin.
Each RiverBed has its own private sunken hot tub set on a deck beside the river, along with outdoor seating for slow mornings and quiet evenings.
