Ardnamurchan Distillery

A small, modern whisky distillery at Glenbeg on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, with tours, a visitor centre and peated and unpeated single malts.

Welcome

At Glenbeg, halfway along the Ardnamurchan peninsula, the Ardnamurchan Distillery has been making whisky since 2014.

Its white buildings and pagoda-roofed kiln stand among the hills, and its labels carry the coordinates of the lighthouse at the peninsula's tip.

The distillery makes two styles of single malt, one peated and one unpeated, aged in a variety of oak casks, and both have won awards. It is small enough that on a tour you can watch the team at work around the copper stills and wooden washbacks. Visitors have called it one of the best tours they have done, with friendly, knowledgeable guides and a lovely shop.

The distillery opens from Monday to Friday, from ten until five. Tours should be booked online.
