Bridge Of Allan Games

On Sunday the 3rd of August, Bridge of Allan hosts one of Scotland’s long-established Highland Games at Strathallan Games Park. Events run from 10am to late afternoon and include track and field races, heavyweight contests, cycling, wrestling, Highland dancing and pipe band competitions. Close to 200 young dancers take part, with over a thousand pipers performing across the day. The athletics programme features hill races and classic events like caber toss and tug o’ war. Around the field, funfair rides, trade stalls and food stands bring a broader crowd. Entry is ticketed on the gate, and free parking is usually available nearby.
