Add to List

Introduction

According to the legend, this particular hunk of stone was used for exactly its namesake purpose. Sat on a plinth overlooking Stirling Bridge, it is where those doomed for execution would be taken to have their heads chopped off. Usually, it was the King sending his enemies to this particular spot, which is now accessible via a short, uphill walk.
