On the Cross in the middle of Linlithgow, the Coffee Neuk is a small, homely tea room in a stone shopfront with small-paned windows and a few tables outside.

It is just the place to sit down after a walk round the town or a visit to the palace.

It keeps things traditional. There are breakfasts, a full Scottish one among them, rolls and light lunches, and a counter of scones, pastries and cakes to go with a pot of tea or a coffee.

The room is compact, so it can be snug at busy times, and a window table gives a view of the Cross. It opens every day from ten in the morning until four, and from nine on Saturdays.
