Muiravonside Country Park
Falkirk's only country park, 170 acres of woods and parkland on the River Avon near Linlithgow, with a small farm, a play park and the Avon Aqueduct.
Muiravonside is Falkirk's only country park, 170 acres of woodland and parkland on the banks of the River Avon near Linlithgow, and it's a lovely place to spend a few hours with children.
At Newparks Farm you can meet Clydesdale horses, Highland cattle, alpacas, rare-breed sheep and a pair of red deer, and the new play park, opened in 2024, has a flying fox and a sensory garden. Follow the sculpture trail, where every piece carries a few lines of poetry, or take the river path along the Avon. From the river, wooden stairs climb to the top of the Avon Aqueduct, which carries the Union Canal 26 metres above the valley and is the longest and tallest aqueduct in Scotland. Dogs are welcome, the Wee Coffee Cabin serves tea, coffee and homemade scones, and parking is £2 for 90 minutes or £4.50 for the day.

The park is open every day of the year.
Parking is paid, and the money goes to the care of the park and its farm.
