The Milk Barn
An ice cream parlour and café at Glen Farm, just south of Falkirk, making its ice cream from its own herd's milk.
There's nothing quite like ice cream made a few yards from the cows, and that's just what you get at The Milk Barn.
It sits at Glen Farm, among green fields on the southern edge of Falkirk, and the milk for the ice cream comes from the farm's own herd, the cows you can see from the café windows. Each morning the milk is carried over from the farm and turned into ice cream on the premises, and you can watch it being made through a viewing window. The counter is full of flavours, from Belgian chocolate to Scottish tablet, and new ones are always being created. The café does coffee, sandwiches, paninis and home baking too, and children can try milking Glenda, the fibreglass cow. Dogs stay outside, where there are water bowls and ice cream made just for them. It's open from 10am to 5pm every day, and a vending machine sells fresh milk from the farm around the clock.

Open every day from 10am to 5pm, except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The milk vending machine never closes.
