The Buffet Box is a small café in Media House on Dunnswood Road, on the edge of Cumbernauld.

Its owners come from a background in food manufacturing, and they are members of the Speciality Coffee Association, which shows in the taste and range of the coffee they pour.

There are traditional big breakfasts, with bacon, black pudding and fried eggs, as well as burgers and chips, loaded nachos and hot wraps, and healthier options for anyone who wants something lighter. Coffee comes as flat whites and lattes with latte art, and there are bags of beans and teas on the counter. The room is bright and simple, with wooden tables and a mural of burgers and coffee on the wall, and portions are big. The Buffet Box opens from seven in the morning on weekdays and Saturday, and from eight on Sunday, until half past two.
