Rosebank Distillery

Welcome

They call Rosebank the King of the Lowlands, and after about thirty years its stills are running again in Camelon, on the western edge of Falkirk.

The distillery was founded in 1840, and its Victorian red brick faces the Forth and Clyde Canal. Ian Macleod Distillers took it on in 2017 and restored it with great care, keeping the original mill, which is still used to make the whisky, and repairing the 108-foot chimney. A new glass-fronted still room shows off stills copied exactly from the original blueprints. The doors opened to visitors again in June 2024, and tours are booked through the distillery's own website. The Falkirk Wheel is a short way west along the canal, so the two make an easy pair for a day out. There's a car park at the distillery and step-free access inside. Check the opening days on its website before you go.
