Barbie: The Exhibition

Barbie: The Exhibition is on display at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow featuring over 250 objects spanning the evolution of the Barbie doll and brand from its origins in 1959 to the present day. The show highlights fashion, architecture, furniture, vehicles and many iconic Barbie friends, telling the story of how the dolls have reflected design trends and cultural shifts. Organised in collaboration with the Design Museum, London and Mattel, this is the first time a major Barbie-focused exhibition has been staged in Scotland. It invites visitors of all ages to explore the enduring influence of one of the world’s most recognised cultural icons.
