Ox and Finch opened on Sauchiehall Street in 2014, at the Kelvingrove end near the museum and the park, and it has been named in the Michelin Guide; the same team later opened Ka Pao in the Botanic Gardens Garage.

Ox and Finch itself is a rustic, easy-going bistro behind a dark corner front with tables out on the pavement, and inside a long room of booths and high tables under a terracotta ceiling, with a bar lined with bottles.

The cooking is small plates made for sharing, looking south to the kitchens of France, Italy and Greece, so the best way to eat is to order several and pass them round the table. There is wine and a run of cocktails from the bar, among them a pink sour served in a coupe. It suits a long dinner with friends or a couple of plates at the bar before the museum. Ox and Finch opens every day from noon until midnight.
