Bar Dani
A wine bar and asador on Argyle Street in Finnieston, inspired by the pintxo bars and cider houses of the Basque Country, with Spanish wines and grilled plates.
Bar Dani brings the Basque Country to Argyle Street.
It's a wine bar and asador in Finnieston, inspired by the pintxo bars and cider houses of the Basque Country, with plenty of seats at the bar, communal tables and a warm, lively room for eating and drinking. Start with a gilda, a slice of tortilla or sobrasada toast with hot honey, then move on to clams with txistorra sausage, a lamb belly skewer or the bavette steak with frites and Dani sauce, and finish with a Basque cheesecake. To drink there's Lustau vermouth, a freezer-cold martini, patxaran and Coke, and a wine list that runs right across Spain, from txakoli to Priorat. It's open from Tuesday to Sunday, until late on most nights, and tables can be booked. Every table is high, so get in touch first if you need lower seating, and under-18s are welcome until six in the evening.
