Spanish tapas and a late-night bar over three floors on Hope Street, back in the city centre after its years in Finnieston.
Rioja first opened in Finnieston in 2013 and became a much-loved part of Glasgow's food and drink scene before it closed in 2023.
After two years away it is back, bigger, on the corner of Hope Street and Bothwell Street in the city centre, over three floors of dining and late-night bar.
Upstairs is the restaurant, a stylish, relaxed room serving Iberian cooking inspired by the streets of Madrid: market-fresh tapas and bolder Spanish plates, from croquetas topped with jamón to gambas sizzling in garlic and chilli. There is a lunch deal of three tapas on weekdays, a pre-theatre menu early in the week and a paella with a jug of sangria to share. On the ground floor is the bar, with Spanish wines, classic cocktails and live DJs, and below it La Bodega, which can be hired for up to fifty. The restaurant serves from noon to ten every day, and the bar stays open until eleven, and midnight at the weekend.

Rioja's restaurant serves every day from noon to 10pm.
The bar is open from noon to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and to midnight on Friday and Saturday. Lunch is three tapas for £14.95, Monday to Friday from noon to 4pm.
