Moat Brae: National Centre for Children's Literature and Storytelling
Introduction
Dumfries was, briefly, the home of Peter Pan author J M Barrie, with Moat Brae a key source of inspiration when he wrote the iconic tale. In 2019, in honour of the author, locals created this literary destination after ten years of fundraising, aiming to open readers young and old up to the magic of stories.
