Introduction
An unassuming house in Dumfries was actually the home of poet Robert Burns in the final years of his life before his death in 1796 aged 37. Remnants of his life are now carefully cared for – even where he scratched his name on the window – and is a popular site for Burns’ fans from all over the world to visit.
