Dùthchas
A six-table restaurant on Great Junction Street in Leith, with tasting menus built on Scottish seasonal produce from land and sea.
Dùthchas stands for the bond between people, animals, land and sea, and this little restaurant on Great Junction Street in Leith cooks by it.
There are just six tables, in a room of deep green walls, wooden tables and tartan throws, and the front of house team bring out each dish and tell you where it came from. The cooking is built on Scottish seasonal produce, from farmers, suppliers and producers close to home and across the isles. There's a six-course tasting menu at £95, a three-course Wee Taster at £65 and a set lunch at £29.95, each with a wine pairing if you'd like one, and it's in the Michelin Guide. It opens from Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, and tables for up to four can be booked online. Children under six can't be admitted under its licence, and the toilet is down a flight of stairs.
