Welcome

Sabzi is a family-run Punjabi restaurant on Ferry Road, on the edge of Leith, and you can't miss it: the whole corner is painted purple, with Home Cooking and Punjabi Street Food written above the windows.

The cooking comes from family recipes passed down through the generations, and it runs from home-cooked favourites to the classics of a North Indian restaurant. The menu changes every week, with a few favourites that stay on, and there are plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes. At the weekend it opens for breakfast at ten, a lovely way to start a Saturday, then carries on through lunch into dinner. From Wednesday to Friday it's open for dinner, from five until nine, and it's closed on Monday and Tuesday. Book through OpenTable from its own site, or order for collection or delivery. Children are welcome, and there's a wheelchair-accessible entrance. It's an easy walk along to the Water of Leith.
