Carter Coffee
A coffee roastery on Fyfe Lane in Bonnington, Leith, opened in 2026, pouring its own coffee at the door on Wednesday to Friday mornings.
Some of the best coffee in Leith comes straight from the roaster's door, and Carter Coffee is the place to find it.
It's a small roastery on Fyfe Lane in Bonnington, a short stroll from Leith Walk, which opened its coffee shop in April 2026. Carter roasts on Mondays and Tuesdays and packs orders the rest of the week, and from Wednesday to Friday the door opens from 7am until noon to pour its own coffee. Start with Bread & Butter, the house coffee, which the Good Food Guide picks out as the cup to order here, or ask what's on as a single origin: there are coffees from Colombia, Kenya, Ethiopia, Nicaragua and India on the shelf. Bags of fresh beans are there to take home, and they post them across the UK and beyond. It's an early-morning stop, so come before work or at the start of a day in Leith, and you'll leave with a good cup in your hand.

The coffee shop is open Wednesday to Friday, 7am to noon.
Beans are sold at the door and through its own site.
