Set deep within Sutherland’s northern landscape, Strathmore Cottage is part of WildLand and designed as a true retreat into the wild, far from roads and everyday distractions. Accessed by a single-track road, the cottage rests beside the Strathmore River, creating a quiet base for walking, fishing and time outdoors.

Sleeping up to six across two double bedrooms and one twin, the layout is straightforward, with a separate kitchen centred around a Raeburn stove and a cosy sitting room with a wood-burning fire. Inside, original features and simple furnishings reflect the building’s history, while outside a private garden and surrounding landscape open out in every direction.

This is an off-grid stay with limited mobile signal, offering a slower pace and a close connection to the surrounding rivers, hills and open Highland terrain.
