Introduction

Ceannabeinne Cottage is a place where time slows and the landscape speaks. Set high above a white-sand beach on Scotland’s far northern coast, this historic former schoolhouse has been quietly restored as a retreat of warmth, calm and understated comfort. Every detail, from the original slate floors to the sand-coloured walls, reflects the surrounding land and sea. Inside, handcrafted furniture and soft linens invite rest. Outside, the views stretch across wild moor and ocean. Once the heart of a small Highland township, the cottage now offers a deep sense of peace rooted in history and place. There are no distractions here, only stillness, solitude and the changing tide. Guests are welcomed with care and generosity, and each stay carries thoughtful touches and a personal approach to hospitality. This is a home for slow mornings, long walks and quiet evenings beside the fire. A sanctuary in every season.
