Welcome

There's nothing like a big breakfast in a cheerful diner, and Queens Diner on Battlefield Road brings a slice of the classic diner to Glasgow's South Side.

It's a bright, retro room with red tables, red booths and old subway seats, and it opens every day from breakfast until late afternoon. Brunch runs from 8am to 4pm, with hashes topped with fried eggs, huevos rancheros, pancake stacks with bacon and maple butter or Korean fried chicken, and the Queens breakfast with Stornoway black pudding and potato scone. From 11am there are smashed burgers and subs, and on weekday mornings until noon there's a roll and a coffee for £6. Children have their own menu, with waffles and fresh fruit, and dogs are welcome too. It's card only. Queens Diner opens from 8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and from 9am to 6pm on Sunday, and you can reserve a table online.
