Godshot Studio is a coffee bar, patisserie and design shop all in one, on Pollokshaws Road in Shawlands, and a lovely place to linger on the south side.

Sam Amdjadi opened it in June 2021 with the patissier Lesley Tang, and the whole place takes its lead from Nordic and Japanese design. The coffee comes from some of Europe's most exciting roasters, among them Three Marks in Barcelona, Prolog in Copenhagen and Friedhats in Amsterdam, with around ten filter coffees on pour-over at any one time. There's matcha and tea too, and Japanese and French patisserie baked in house, so it's hard to leave without something sweet. Then take your time over the shelves, where you'll find coffee kit, tableware, lighting, books and fragrance from makers all over the world. It's open every day until 5pm, from 9am, or 10am on a Monday. There's no need to book, dogs are welcome, and there are a few seats outside.
