Welcome

There's a lot of history behind this cheerful restaurant on Pollokshaws Road.

Hendersons began in Edinburgh in 1962, when Janet Henderson opened a vegetarian restaurant on Hanover Street, and her grandson Barrie Henderson carries the name on today. In July 2026 it opened its first restaurant in Glasgow, behind a blue and yellow front in Strathbungo, on the South Side. Everything on the menu is vegetarian or vegan. Brunch runs from 10am until 3.15pm, a seasonal evening menu starts at 5pm, and the original cocktails are served all day. On Sunday there's a seitan roast, served all day, which you can order ahead by 6pm on the Saturday. It's a relaxed place for a long brunch or a dinner with friends, whether you eat meat or not. Hendersons opens every day except Wednesday, from 10am to 10pm, with last orders at 9.15pm, and you can book a table through its own site.
