Welcome

There's something special about a tiny restaurant where every plate is made with care, and Qasba is just that.

It's a small North African restaurant on Allison Street in Govanhill, a few steps from Pollokshaws Road, with only a few tables and a short menu that changes often. Expect warm flatbreads scattered with pomegranate seeds, dips and pickles in little copper bowls, koftas, slow-cooked stews with couscous, and cakes to finish. There are lots of vegetarian dishes, and many of them can be made vegan. Try the Arabic coffee while you're there. At the weekend it opens from 10am for brunch, which makes a lovely start to a day around Queen's Park and Strathbungo. Qasba opens on Thursday evening from 5pm, on Friday from 11am and on Saturday from 10am, both until 10pm, and on Sunday from 10am until 5pm. You can also take food away to eat at home.
