This Must Be The Place is a homeware and lifestyle shop on Pollokshaws Road, on the south side, run by Clare Nicolson, and it is as cheerful inside as its name.

Behind peach-painted doors and a window of plants, the walls are panelled in soft pink and green with scalloped edges, and the shelves are a rainbow of colour.

It stocks colourful homeware from brands across the UK and around the world: striped ceramics and colourful glassware, jugs and cups, candelabras and candles, embroidered linens, incense, stationery, cookery and photography books and magazines, and art prints. As Sunday Times Style put it, it is the sort of place you go into for a birthday card and leave with a full carrier bag. This Must Be The Place opens Monday and Wednesday to Friday from eleven until five, Saturday from ten until five, and Sunday from eleven until four. It is closed on Tuesday.

This Must Be The Place opens Monday and Wednesday to Friday from 11am to 5pm, Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.

It is closed on Tuesday.
