Welcome

There's nothing better than a table full of plates to share, and Lobo brings the flavours of the Mediterranean to Glasgow's South Side.

It's on Pollokshaws Road in Strathbungo, a short walk from Queen's Park, and the whole menu is made for sharing. Begin with grilled rosemary focaccia, gordal olives and taramasalata with radishes, add pork cheek croquettes or courgette fritti with chilli mayo, then a couple of bigger plates, such as house ricotta agnolotti, confit duck leg or the fish of the day with confit potatoes. Summer brought Isle of Wight tomatoes and peaches to the panzanella, and there are plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes. To drink there are classic cocktails, mocktails and a wine list that runs from sparkling through orange wine to reds. It's an easy place for a long lunch or a relaxed evening with friends. Lobo opens from Wednesday to Sunday, from noon until 10pm, and tables are booked online through its own site.
