Honeytrap is a plant-based bakery behind a sunny yellow front on Skirving Street in Shawlands, opened in 2021 by Amélie and Adam Sinclair.

The two came to Glasgow in 2009 to study film and television, and Amélie baked at some of the UK's best-known bakeries, among them Tantrum Doughnuts and Glasgow's own Cottonrake, before they put the film-making on hold to bake.

Everything is vegan, made with organic British flour and no palm oil. The counter fills on the days it opens with strawberry and pistachio tarts, glazed babka, filled buns and cream buns piped pink, laminated danishes and cruffins, and savoury bakes alongside, and boxes can be filled to take home. Pastries can be pre-ordered for Saturday, and celebration tarts and desserts are made to order. Honeytrap opens Thursday to Saturday, from half past nine until five, and from ten on Saturday.

Honeytrap opens Thursday and Friday from 9.30am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

It is closed Sunday to Wednesday. Saturday pastries and celebration tarts can be ordered ahead online.
