Welcome

Stephen O'Neil Art is the artist Stephen O'Neil's own gallery and design shop on Pollokshaws Road in Shawlands, behind a navy front with his name carved into a wooden sign above the window.

It calls itself design on the south side, and i-on Magazine has called it probably the best curated retail space in the city.

The heart of it is O'Neil's own work: bold, colourful prints of Glasgow and Scotland, among them Tenement and Duke, alongside original drawings and limited editions. Around them he has gathered an international mix of design, homeware, cards, travel books, maps and pinnable globes, jewellery and gifts, with a window crammed with colour. It is the kind of shop to lose half an hour in, and to leave with a present for someone who loves the city, or a print of your own street. There is an online shop too. Stephen O'Neil Art is open every day, from ten until five, and from eleven until four on Sunday.

Hidden Scotland, the magazine

Scotland, in print.

We want to show you the best that Scotland has to offer. The makers and the creatives, the enduring experiences, the evocative tales, the concealed corners. The roads less travelled that take you to places that matter. The adventures that gather you up and sweep you away. The blend of the wild and the artistic that makes Scotland what it is. We’d love for you to join us.
