Spend a full day at Logie Steading on 25 April 2026 creating your own handmade garden bench in the tranquil woodland overlooking the River Findhorn. Led by expert craftsman Aaron Sterritt, this immersive workshop teaches traditional green woodworking techniques, including timber selection, cleaving logs with a froe and wedges, shaping legs with a shave horse, drawknife, and spokeshave, and jointing the bench using historic methods. All tools and materials are provided, with tea, coffee, and biscuits throughout the day (lunch not included). Participants leave with a unique handcrafted garden bench and practical woodworking skills.
