Welcome

Andersons is a relaxed, informal restaurant in the village of Boat of Garten, in the Cairngorms National Park, open in the evenings from Wednesday to Sunday.

The kitchen uses local Scottish produce in season, and the menu is creative but aims simply at food that tastes good, from salmon to steak. Much of it can be made gluten-free or dairy-free, there is a vegan menu, and children can have half portions of some dishes or choose from their own menu; if you have particular likes or dislikes, the chef is happy to make something to suit. Tables can be reserved online, and gift vouchers are sold too. The restaurant takes cash as well as cards.

Hidden Scotland, the magazine

Scotland, in print.

We want to show you the best that Scotland has to offer. The makers and the creatives, the enduring experiences, the evocative tales, the concealed corners. The roads less travelled that take you to places that matter. The adventures that gather you up and sweep you away. The blend of the wild and the artistic that makes Scotland what it is. We’d love for you to join us.
