Foxfire Coffee is a coffee bar at Granish Business Park, just outside Aviemore, and it is worth the short detour.

Its motto is coffee, science and love, and the focus is on speciality coffee made with care by skilled baristas, from flat whites to long blacks.

A short food menu backs it up, with sourdough toasties, bakes and cinnamon buns made in house. The room is calm and thoughtfully finished, with a wood-burning stove, space to sit for a while and views stretching towards the northern Cairngorms. There is free parking, which makes it an easy stop on the way into the hills or on the road through Strathspey. Foxfire opens from 7am on weekdays and from half past eight at weekends, and closes at 2pm.
