Rothiemurchus Farm Shop
The estate's own Highland beef and venison, trout and heather honey, with a deli counter, at the Rothiemurchus Centre by Aviemore.
Rothiemurchus Farm Shop stands at the Rothiemurchus Centre, a few minutes from Aviemore and opposite the Barn Café, and it is full of the estate's own produce and the best of Scotland's small makers.
The pride of the place is Rothiemurchus Highland beef, slow-matured and hung for at least twenty-one days, and the estate's venison, once chosen by Rick Stein for the BBC's Food Heroes; both are reared and butchered here by the estate's own butchers, Brian and Fraser.
There is seasonal rainbow trout from the estate and golden heather honey, and the deli and cheese counter holds homemade haggis and black pudding, home-cured bacon, pies, pâtés, sausage rolls and quiches. Around them are handmade chocolates, seasonal wines, and jams, chutneys and preserves made for the shop. An online farm shop takes orders for hampers, veg boxes and meal kits, ready to collect. The shop opens daily from 9.45am to 5pm.
